These are examples of how I use drawing to develop my work, I call these pages sketchbooks but in fact I very rarely use a sketchbook, my only true sketchbook being the one I created for the very personal piece "Not waving", second from the left. The process of reading in conjunction with the creatation of images, texts and drawings help me to make sense of what i want to achieve with a piece of work for this I prefer to use a portfolio of images and drawings which I can lay out and look at all at once I find this opens up more options for me rather than the more linear creative process that I seem to get if I use a sketchbook.
