About the work: Twelve Bar Blues is and exploration of visualisation within the mind. What makes music musical are not the notes but the fractions between them, the brain recognizes these fractions audibly and we enjoy the music. I was curious to find out if the brain recognized the same fractions visually. 

Using the fractions for the modern Western harmonic scale, I altered on a computer one colour by the fractions required to create a musical scale, and using the notes from a basic left hand twelve bar blues sequence created the piece twelve bar blues.

The work hangs on hidden brackets which are supplied and requires no frame.
