About the work: This work is again created around my interest in language, and is created through partial metaphors that arise from the word "black".  Black is seen as dark and connected with the "Black" arts  and so acquires an  lowly of depraved status hence the placement of the pure colour towards the bottom of the image, also the pure section is sunk below the surface of the work. The word black is painted onto the pure section of the work, very lightly. The layers in the outer section of the work reflect the layers of meaning that all language is comprised of.

The work is not framed and could be hung unframed but purchasers may feel the need of a frame as the layers of paint on the edges make a rough surface.
