About the work: My father found me some pieces of dead wood on the shores of a Scottish Loch and it was about three years before I decided what I would do with them. The rock surface is created on various grounds like linen paper and canvas combined, the rock indicative of a form of universal perpetuity, and the lichen like sections renewal on a basic level and the dead wood the short span of mans life in comparison to the life of the universe. This piece is supplied with a simple hand finished pine frame, outer measurements 85.3cm x 154.8cm, no additional framing required.
